How Conversion works with Zoom Webinar

Conversion connects to Zoom through OAuth and syncs its webinars with Zoom webinars, so registrations flow both ways and attendance comes back. Moving a member to Registered signs them up on Zoom and stores their personal join link, and sign-ups on Zoom's own registration page arrive as members when Zoom reports them. Once Zoom finalizes its report, members move to Attended or No Show, with join time, leave time, and duration recorded for attendees, and a linked Salesforce campaign receives the same statuses.

What you can do

Registration from your own forms

Build the landing page and form in Conversion. The Update Campaign Member step registers each contact on Zoom and waits for their join link, so the confirmation email that follows can include it.

Attendance without exports

When Zoom finalizes its attendance report, usually within minutes of the session ending, members move to Attended or No Show, with join time, leave time, and duration recorded for attendees.

Follow-ups by attendance

Criteria triggers on webinar status send attendees a next step and no-shows the recording, and Liquid can check how long each person stayed to tailor the message.

Statuses in Salesforce

Link the webinar to a Salesforce campaign and every registration and attendance status from Zoom reaches its campaign members, while changes made in Salesforce flow back.

How to connect Zoom Webinar

  1. 1 Confirm your Zoom account has the Zoom Webinars add-on. The integration works with Zoom webinars, not meetings.
  2. 2 In Conversion, open the Integrations tab in settings and click Connect on Zoom. A Zoom account admin signs in and clicks Allow to approve the requested scopes.
  3. 3 Open a webinar in Conversion, click Connect on the webinar platform card in the Overview tab, and select the Zoom webinar before the session ends.
  4. 4 Register members by moving them to Registered, by hand on the Members tab or with the Update Campaign Member workflow step. Zoom requires a valid email and a first name.
  5. 5 To mirror statuses in your CRM, connect the webinar to a new or existing Salesforce campaign from the same Overview tab.
FAQ

Zoom Webinar integration FAQ

Yes.

No. It works with Zoom webinars, which need the Zoom Webinars add-on on your Zoom account. Meetings don't appear when you choose a session to connect.

Zoom finalizes its attendance report a few minutes after the webinar ends. Members who joined are marked Attended with their join time, leave time, and duration, and registrants who never joined are marked No Show. Connect the webinar before the session ends, because attendance isn't backfilled.

A Conversion Administrator to start the connection and a Zoom account admin to approve it, since Zoom treats Conversion as an admin-managed app. Each workspace connects to one Zoom account at a time. Webinars are enabled per workspace, so if you don't see Webinars in the sidebar, ask your account team to turn them on.

Connect the Conversion webinar to a new or existing Salesforce campaign. Someone who registers on Zoom's page becomes Registered in Conversion and on the Salesforce campaign member, and the move to Attended or No Show after the session is pushed the same way. Changes your sales team makes in Salesforce flow back into Conversion.
